The possible liberation of our women in Varuna

Years and years ago the Uthanians escaped from Varuna and discovered this beautiful new land but they had to leave behind a large part of our population. As many as 80 per cent of the women are still trapped in Varuna today and it is time for us to make a change. But this is easier said than done.

Every year on the 20th of november all the inhabitants of Uthana gather to remember their women and to make it clear that they have certainly not forgotten about them. The tradition goes like this: They built a big fire where they all come together. They drink red wine and consume the famous flower of Uthana. This makes them feel a little happier seen the circumstances.

This day also makes an opportunity to think about different solutions. Solutions through which they can possibly win back the women or at least some of the women that are stuck in Varuna. Several attempts have been made over the years, but there has been no success yet.

This year, a very good idea came out of the blue. One of the Uthanian men suggested to make a deal with Varuna:

We get the women who want to come back to us and they get years of free consumption and export of our flower. Something they already have been wanting for a long time.

Currently, they have conveyed the idea to the Grand Duke of Varuna, but we are still waiting for an answer. If the answer is positive, this could be a milestone in the history of Uthana. A historical turning point. They have not been able to reach the Grand Duke himself but we were told he would have an answer ready within a month from now.

This is the most exciting thing Uthana has ever been through.
